We are hiring for a Product Manager - Merchant Experience for a leading payments and financial technology organization. The role will focus on building and scaling merchant-facing payment experiences, improving payment journeys, and driving transaction conversion and merchant adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Defining product strategy, roadmap and priorities for merchant-facing payment products.
Owning products such as Hosted Checkout, Payment Links, APIs and SDKs.
Translating merchant and business requirements into PRDs, user stories, product workflows and wireframes.
Identifying friction across merchant onboarding, payment journeys and transaction flows.
Analyzing payment funnels, transaction success rates and merchant behaviour to identify product opportunities.
Driving initiatives to improve payment conversion, transaction success and overall merchant experience.
Collaborating with Engineering, Design, Business, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams to take products from discovery through launch.
Defining product KPIs and tracking performance to drive data-led prioritization.
Designing and running experiments, including A/B tests, to improve merchant journeys.
Ensuring product initiatives align with applicable RBI, PCI-DSS and payment-industry requirements.
What We're Looking For
Bringing 3–5 years of core Product Management experience in fintech, payments, banking or payment aggregation.
Demonstrating strong understanding of merchant-facing payment products and journeys.
Having hands-on exposure to one or more of:
Payment Gateway / Checkout
Payment Links
APIs / SDKs
UPI
Cards
Net Banking
Wallets
Merchant onboarding / activation
Settlements / refunds
Understanding payment transaction journeys and merchant pain points.
Collaborating effectively with Engineering and Design teams on product development.
Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Writing clear PRDs, user stories, workflows and product documentation.
Holding an MBA from an IIM / Tier-1 B-school and/or B.E./B.Tech would be preferred.
