Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cement Mill Operations role based at the Mattampally plant. The role involves monitoring and controlling cement mill equipment, adjusting process parameters, and ensuring stable, efficient mill performance. Responsibilities include tracking production targets, checking material quality, coordinating with quality control and maintenance teams, and reporting any abnormalities or downtime. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, daily log keeping, basic troubleshooting of operational issues, and support for planned shutdowns and maintenance activities. The position also involves collaborating with supervisors and peers to optimize throughput, reduce energy consumption, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills for process monitoring, data interpretation, and problem-solving in mill operations.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
Operations management skills to oversee daily mill activities, production planning support, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Project management skills to assist in small improvement initiatives, shutdown planning, and implementation of operational changes.
Basic understanding of cement manufacturing processes and mill equipment; prior experience in cement or heavy industry operations is an advantage.
Ability to work in a plant environment, follow safety procedures, and operate relevant control systems (DCS/PLC preferred).
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline is preferred.
Willingness to work in shifts as required by plant operations.
