AI Chatbot Developer & Process Flow Specialist

Role Summary
Owns the full lifecycle of AI chatbot process flow & development — from mapping user journeys and designing conversation flows, to building, integrating, testing, and optimizing the bot across platforms. Combines technical implementation (NLP/LLM, APIs, integrations) with process design (flowcharts, decision logic, escalation paths) to deliver a chatbot that is both smart and easy to use.
Key Responsibilities
* Map user journeys and convert them into structured flows (decision trees, intents, entities, triggers)
* Design flowcharts for each use case (FAQ, order tracking, complaints, lead capture, support, etc.)
* Define fallback paths, re-engagement prompts, and error handling when the bot misunderstands
* Create escalation logic — when and how the bot hands off to a human agent
* Build and fine-tune models/prompts using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or NLP frameworks (Rasa, Dialogflow)
* Configure flows in chatbot platforms (Dialogflow, Rasa, Botpress, Voiceflow, ManyChat, or custom LLM-based systems)
* Set up intent recognition, entity extraction, and context/session management
* Implement guardrails, safety checks, and data-handling compliance
* Integrate chatbot with CRM, helpdesk, messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Slack, web widget, etc.)
* Build and maintain REST API / webhook connections between the bot and backend systems
* Test flows for edge cases, dead ends, and looping issues
* Monitor performance and analyze conversation logs/transcripts to find drop-off points
* A/B test flow structures and prompts to improve resolution rate and user satisfaction
* Maintain flowcharts, process documentation, and version history of bot logic
* Collaborate with product, design, support, and engineering teams
* Report on bot performance metrics and improvement roadmap
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
* Master’s degree in AI/ML, NLP, or Computer Science for senior/lead roles
Technical Qualifications
* Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/Node.js
* Hands-on experience with chatbot platforms: Dialogflow, Rasa, Botpress, Voiceflow, ManyChat, or custom LLM-based systems
* Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.) and prompt engineering
* Understanding of NLP fundamentals (intents, entities, utterances, context management)
* Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)
* Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations (CRM, helpdesk, messaging apps)
* Familiarity with process mapping/flowchart tools (Miro, Lucidchart, Draw.io, Figma)
* Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Hands-on experience / skill in n8n workflow automation and integrations
