Role Description: This is a remote internship role for a Frontend Developer. The intern will collaborate with the development team to implement user interfaces for web applications, primarily contributing to products like Parkio. Day-to-day tasks include translating design mockups into responsive, accessible web pages, optimizing frontend performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The role also involves working with backend developers to integrate APIs, participating in code reviews, and contributing to continuous improvements to the user experience. The intern is expected to learn quickly, follow best practices, and communicate effectively with teammates in a distributed environment.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design, with experience using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
Foundational understanding of Web Development and Software Development principles, including version control and debugging practices.
Basic exposure to Back-End Web Development concepts to effectively collaborate on API integration and data handling.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow established coding standards and documentation practices.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and comfort working remotely in a distributed team.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with UI/UX principles, testing tools, and agile development methodologies is a plus.
