## Role Description
We are looking for a **Backend Developer Volunteer** to join the Zero2Bounty team and contribute to building and developing the backend of our platform.
You will work on the server-side systems that power the platform, including **REST APIs, databases, authentication and authorization, and integrations with the frontend, labs, and challenge systems**.
You will collaborate with the frontend development and cybersecurity teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure platform features.
### Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain backend services using **Node.js and NestJS**.
* Design and implement **RESTful APIs**.
* Work with **SQL and/or NoSQL databases**.
* Implement **Authentication & Authorization** systems.
* Integrate backend services with the platform's **Frontend**.
* Develop integrations with labs, challenges, and other platform components.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
* Troubleshoot bugs and improve existing backend features.
* Consider performance, scalability, and security when developing new features.
* Use **Git/GitHub** for version control and team collaboration.
* Collaborate with frontend developers and cybersecurity trainers.
### Required Qualifications
* Good understanding of **Backend Web Development**.
* Knowledge of **Node.js and NestJS**.
* Good understanding of **REST APIs** and API development.
* Knowledge of **SQL and/or NoSQL databases**.
* Understanding of **Authentication & Authorization**.
* Solid understanding of **Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)**.
* Familiarity with **Git and GitHub**.
* Basic understanding of frontend development and API integration.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
### Nice to Have
* Basic knowledge of **Cybersecurity and Web Application Security**.
* Familiarity with **OWASP Top 10** and secure coding practices.
* Experience or knowledge in **Bug Bounty**.
* Familiarity with **Docker or cloud deployment**.
* Previous experience contributing to technical or educational platforms.
> **Cybersecurity experience is not required.**
