Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator will manage the company’s social media presence and create high-quality visual and written content across various platforms. The role combines the responsibility of creating, shooting, and editing video and photo content, as well as producing copy for blogs, social media posts, and marketing materials. You’ll be working closely with the marketing and creative teams to elevate our online presence, drive audience engagement, and promote our events and services.

Social media coordination & content writing
Develop and execute social media content plans for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
Manage day-to-day social media activities, including posting content, engaging with followers, and responding to comments/messages in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor social media trends, industry-related topics, and competitor activity to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.
Assist with social media campaign strategy, execution, and performance tracking to optimize results.
Analyze engagement and performance metrics to adjust content strategies for maximum reach and effectiveness.
Photography & Videography
Capture high-quality photos and videos at company events, behind-the-scenes moments, and product shots to be used across social media and other marketing channels.
Edit and produce engaging video content (e.g., event highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, client testimonials, etc.) for social media, YouTube, and other platforms.
Ensure all visual content is on-brand, visually appealing, and consistent with the company’s messaging and tone.
Stay updated on the latest trends in social media video formats (e.g., Instagram Stories), and optimize content accordingly.
Content Creation & Writing
Work closely with the marketing and events teams to create and align content around upcoming events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Collaborate with external partners, influencers, and clients to create co-branded content or promote collaborations.
Report on content performance, providing insights into engagement, reach, and ROI, and suggest improvements for future content.
Required Skills and Qualification:
Proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator, Content Creator, or similar role, ideally within the events, hospitality, or creative industries.
Strong experience with photography and videography, including proficiency in using DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting, and other production equipment.
Expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools) and photo editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and content scheduling.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to craft engaging and error-free content.
A keen eye for detail in visual content, with a strong understanding of what works on different social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Strong knowledge of social media best practices, trends, and platform algorithms.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments.
