Role Description The Fundraising Specialist NGO Co-founder will play a central role in shaping Manaa Foundation’s financial sustainability and growth, working closely with other founders and core team members. This part-time, remote position involves developing and executing fundraising strategies, identifying and cultivating donor relationships, and researching grant opportunities that align with the foundation’s mission. Day-to-day tasks may include drafting proposals, preparing donor communications, managing fundraising campaigns, and tracking funding pipelines and outcomes. The role also includes building partnerships with individuals, corporations, and philanthropic organizations, as well as helping to establish internal processes for stewardship, reporting, and impact communication. As a co-founder, the individual will contribute to strategic decisions, organizational planning, and long-term vision, while maintaining ethical fundraising practices and a strong focus on community benefit.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing, with the ability to design and implement effective fundraising strategies.
Strong skills in relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder engagement, including the ability to communicate the mission and impact clearly to diverse audiences.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing proposals, reports, presentations, and donor-focused content.
Proficiency with basic digital tools and platforms (e.g., CRM or donor management systems, spreadsheets, email marketing tools, and video conferencing software).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet fundraising deadlines.
Knowledge of non-profit operations, social impact measurement, or NGO governance is highly beneficial.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness to take ownership, contribute to strategic decisions, and help build organizational structures from an early stage.
Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and gender-neutral practices, and alignment with Manaa Foundation’s values and mission.
Previous experience in the non-profit or social sector, or relevant education in fields such as social work, public administration, business, or related areas is a plus.
