Head of Retail

A well known Consumer Appliances company based in Mumbai is looking for an experienced leader to head their EBO business.
Job Description:
The Head – EBO Business will be responsible for end-to-end management and growth of the Exclusive Brand Outlet (EBO) business.
This role carries full P&L ownership, ensuring profitable operations, efficient store management, strong team leadership, and consistent brand experience across all stores. The incumbent will drive revenue growth through effective campaigns, local marketing initiatives, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L Ownership & Business Performance:
 Own and manage the complete P&L for the EBO business, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
 Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
 Analyze sales, costs, and store-level performance to identify improvement opportunities.
 Drive cost optimization while maintaining service and brand standards.
Store Operations & Management:
 Oversee day-to-day operations of all EBO stores to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
 Ensure adherence to SOPs, VM guidelines, brand standards, and compliance requirements.
 Monitor store KPIs such as sales per sq. ft., conversion, average ticket size, and inventory turns.  Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and finance teams for seamless operations.
Manpower Management:
 Lead hiring, onboarding, deployment, performance management, and exits for store teams.
 Build a strong store leadership pipeline including Store Managers and Sales Associates.
 Ensure staff productivity, motivation, and engagement.
 Focus on employee well-being, training, and development, fostering a positive work culture.
 Handle disciplinary matters and performance improvement plans when required..
Sales Growth & Lead Generation:
 Design and execute store-level and regional campaigns to generate leads and drive footfalls.  Plan and implement promotions, local activations, events, and partnerships.
 Collaborate with marketing teams on ATL/BTL initiatives and digital-to-store lead generation.  Track campaign effectiveness and ROI
Key Skills and Competencies:
 Strong business acumen with proven P&L management experience
 In-depth understanding of retail store operations
 Experience in franchisee/master-franchisee development and management across multiple cities
 Excellent people management and leadership skills
 Ability to design and execute sales campaigns and growth initiatives
 Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
 Effective communication and stakeholder management
 Willingness to travel locally or regionally as required
Qualifications & Experience:
 MBA / Graduate in Management, Retail, or a related field (preferred)
 10–15 years of experience in retail, EBO, or large-format store management
 Prior experience managing multi-store operations is mandatory
