Role Description This is a Part time or project-based, Remote WordPress Developer role based in Accra. The WordPress Developer will bild, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and themes, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities include developing front-end layouts, implementing responsive designs, and integrating plugins and APIs to support marketing and branding initiatives. The role involves collaborating with designers and marketing specialists, troubleshooting technical issues, and regularly updating site content and functionality. The WordPress Developer will also optimize websites for speed, SEO, and user experience while following best practices and project timelines.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design for modern, mobile-friendly interfaces
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Web Development for building and maintaining WordPress sites
Experience in Web Design to translate brand guidelines into effective, user-centered layouts
Hands-on experience with WordPress themes, plugins, custom post types, and page builders
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP in a WordPress environment
Understanding of website performance optimization, accessibility, and basic SEO principles
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Previous experience in an agency or digital studio environment is an advantage
Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
