Role Description The Merchant Onboarding Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Prayagraj. This role is responsible for guiding new merchants through the end-to-end onboarding process, including collecting and verifying documentation, setting up accounts, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with merchants and internal teams, explaining product features and service terms, and resolving onboarding-related queries in a timely and professional manner. The Specialist maintains accurate records, monitors application status, and follows up to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to active usage. The role also involves identifying process improvements, providing feedback on merchant needs, and supporting overall customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to review merchant data, verify documents, and identify discrepancies or risks.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to build trust, handle queries, and support merchants throughout onboarding.
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain processes, requirements, and product features.
Foundational understanding of finance or financial services to interpret merchant information and align onboarding with business policies.
Relevant experience in merchant onboarding, operations, banking, fintech, or customer support is preferred.
Ability to work in a structured, on-site environment in Prayagraj and manage multiple onboarding cases simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with basic computer applications and documentation tools.
Diploma or degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field is beneficial.
