Accountant

Role Description The Accountant role at Apollo Group Mining is a full-time, on-site position based in Gandhinagar. The accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including preparing and maintaining general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices, payments, and expense reports. Responsibilities include supporting month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial statements and management reports, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, as well as coordinating with internal teams and external auditors. The accountant will contribute to improving financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing reliable financial data to support decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in financial accounting, management accounting, and basic taxation concepts.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical and analytical skills.
Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
Prior experience in accounting or finance; experience in mining, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is beneficial.
