Founding Product Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the first engineering hire at a Y Combinator-backed AI marketing startup, joining a two-person founding team to own product features entirely end to end. You will work directly with founders and customers to figure out what to build, ship it fast, and keep improving it until it creates real value. The role spans product thinking, frontend, backend, LLM pipelines, and data.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own full product features from conception through production, iterating until customers get clear value.
- Work directly with founders and customers to turn conversations into product decisions and shipped code.
- Build frontend experiences with taste, clarity, and care across complex workflows.
- Design and maintain reliable production LLM pipelines and agents, going well beyond demos.
- Contribute across the full stack: frontend, backend systems, data, and AI integrations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience, with early-stage startup or founding experience required.
- Proven track record of shipping production SaaS features, including 0-to-1 products, independently and at speed.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React; familiarity with Vite, Supabase, Vercel, and ClickHouse.
- Experience building and deploying production LLM pipelines and agents, not just prototypes.
- Ability to design simple, intuitive UX for complex workflows.
- AI-native working style, comfortable using coding agents, MCP, or similar AI-assisted development tools day to day.
- Comfortable talking directly with customers in English and representing a company well.
- Background in GEO, SEO, or marketing technology is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary of EUR 85,000 to 120,000 per year, plus equity (VSOP). Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site in Munich, Germany. Candidates must be based in Munich or willing to relocate.
