Staff Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a staff-level individual-contributor engineering role at a Series A/B AI-native fintech SaaS company building modern Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) software for finance teams. You will partner closely with senior leadership and the broader engineering team to shape platform architecture from the ground up, with real ownership and outsized impact at an early stage of scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.
- Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end to end.
- Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
- Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing team culture.
- Collaborate with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.
- Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, with React experience.
- Experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including architecting, deploying, and operating scalable services.
- Solid experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
- Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Demonstrated staff-level technical leadership: architecture ownership, mentoring engineers, and raising team-wide effectiveness.
- Proven ability to collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables.
- A track record of clear, senior individual-contributor impact rather than a path toward engineering management or executive roles.
- Background in well-regarded engineering or product-focused organizations is a plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $185,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
