Role Description The Legal Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The intern will assist advocates and solicitors with legal research, case law analysis, and preparation of case briefs across multiple practice areas. Daily tasks include drafting and reviewing legal documents, organizing case files, and supporting the preparation of pleadings, written submissions, and legal opinions. The intern will help in tracking court dates, coordinating with clients and internal teams for information, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. Under supervision, the intern may observe court proceedings, participate in internal discussions on strategy, and contribute to the development of well-reasoned, client-focused solutions.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Law and the ability to understand and apply legal principles across multiple practice areas.
Skills in Legal Consulting, including assisting with legal opinions, case strategy, and client-focused analysis under supervision.
Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting, reviewing, and organizing pleadings, contracts, and legal correspondence.
Strong Communication abilities, including clear written drafting, precise legal writing, and professional verbal interaction with teams and clients.
Capability to identify, analyze, and summarize Legal Issues through thorough research of statutes, case law, and legal commentary.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited law program; prior internship experience in litigation or corporate practice is an advantage.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, court-driven environment.
Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and respect for the rule of law, with an interest in building a long-term career in advocacy.
