Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate and fair assessment of collateral. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise appraisals that mitigate risk and enhance customer trust. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic financial services environment.
Responsibilities:-
Conduct thorough and accurate appraisal of gold jewelry and ornaments submitted as collateral for gold loans, ensuring adherence to industry standards and bank policies.
Evaluate the purity, weight, and market value of gold items using standardized testing methods and tools.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.
Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning and risk assessment processes.
Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to verify collateral details and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Ensure compliance with all internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations related to gold appraisal and loan processing.
Train and mentor junior appraisal staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism within the team.
Manage and calibrate appraisal equipment regularly to guarantee precision in measurements and valuations.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections conducted by internal and external stakeholders to uphold appraisal integrity.
Provide expert advice on gold asset management and risk mitigation strategies to senior management.
