Role Description The Research Assistant role at Biodeavour Research Lab is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Research Assistant will support ongoing projects by performing laboratory experiments, preparing samples, maintaining lab equipment, and following standard operating procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and documenting data, assisting in data analysis, conducting literature reviews, and helping to prepare research reports and presentations. The role also involves collaborating with senior researchers, contributing to project planning, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Research Assistant is expected to maintain accurate records, organize research materials, and participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and findings.
Qualifications
Strong Research and Laboratory Skills for conducting experiments, handling samples, and following scientific protocols.
Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities to interpret experimental results and support evidence-based conclusions.
Effective Communication skills for documenting findings, preparing reports, and collaborating with team members.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines in a laboratory setting.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biotechnology, Microbiology or a related scientific discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment, standard documentation practices, and common software tools for data handling.
Willingness to learn new techniques, work collaboratively on-site in Chennai, and adapt to evolving research priorities.
