Role Description The Human Resources Manager at Discover LLC is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and policy administration. The Human Resources Manager will manage recruitment and onboarding processes, support workforce planning, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. The role also involves coordinating training and development programs, overseeing benefits and compensation administration, and advising managers on HR best practices. This position works closely with leadership to support a positive workplace culture, drive engagement initiatives, and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation.
Knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices, particularly within U.S. regulations.
Strong skills in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
Experience with HRIS systems, data management, and basic HR analytics to support informed decision-making.
Effective communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills for working with employees and leadership at all levels.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Prior experience in an HR leadership or generalist role, preferably in a corporate or multi-site environment.
