Role Description
This an unpaid remote Story Development Intern role that focuses on supporting the development of an Uncut Gems–style thriller set in the cosmetics industry.
This role is designed for university students eligible to earn university credit for their participation.
The intern will assist with outlining the narrative, developing characters, researching the cosmetics business and its culture, and generating story ideas that heighten tension and stakes.
Day-to-day tasks may include drafting scene summaries, compiling research briefs, organizing story notes, and preparing materials for internal reviews.
The intern will participate in virtual development meetings, provide feedback on drafts, and help maintain clear documentation of revisions and story decisions.
This is an internship role designed to provide hands-on experience in narrative development and collaborative storytelling.
Qualifications
Familiarity with the cosmetics or beauty industry is required.
Enrollment in or completion of a program in screenwriting, creative writing, film, media studies, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Must be funny.
Research skills to explore industry trends, cosmetics brands, and real-world dynamics that can inform realistic and compelling storylines.
