We are looking for a creative and practical Fashion Design Intern who wants hands-on exposure to the complete journey of an apparel product:
Idea → Design → Fabric → Colour → Sample → Fit → Correction → Production → E-commerce Launch
ROBINBOSKY is an apparel brand with in-house manufacturing and sales across our own D2C website and leading marketplaces.
This internship is ideal for someone who wants to understand both fashion design and how products are actually manufactured and sold commercially.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fashion & Product Design
• Assist in developing new apparel products and styles
• Create garment sketches and design concepts
• Develop colour variations for existing and new products
• Research silhouettes, fits, colours and consumer trends
• Assist in selecting fabrics, trims, elastics and other components
• Develop mood boards and product concepts
• Help create commercially viable products suited to our target customers
• Assist in improving existing styles based on customer feedback and sales data
2. Product Development & Sampling
• Coordinate new product samples with the production team
• Follow up samples from initial design to final approval
• Check garment appearance, construction, fit and measurements
• Identify corrections required in samples
• Maintain sample-development records
• Coordinate revised samples until approval
• Assist in preparing products for bulk production
You will receive practical exposure to:
Design → Pattern → Cutting → Stitching → Checking → Finishing → Production
rather than working only on digital designs.
3. Tech Packs & Design Documentation
• Assist in preparing tech packs
• Maintain garment measurements and specifications
• Document fabric, colour and trim details
• Prepare construction and stitching references
• Maintain design and sample records
• Ensure approved specifications are clearly communicated to production
4. Colour & Collection Development
Colour is an important part of our product offering.
The intern will help:
• Research upcoming colour trends
• Develop commercial colour palettes
• Create colour combinations and variations
• Coordinate fabric colour references
• Maintain colour libraries
• Analyse which colours perform better with customers
• Help create coordinated product collections
5. Women & Kids Apparel
You will primarily work on products for:
👩 Women's Apparel
👧 Girls' / Kids' Apparel
You may also assist in researching and developing future apparel categories for the brand.
6. E-commerce Fashion Presentation
Unlike a traditional factory-only fashion internship, you will also see how products are presented to customers online.
Assist with:
• Product styling concepts
• Product photography planning
• Model look planning
• Colour combinations for shoots
• E-commerce image requirements
• Product catalogue presentation
• Marketplace images
• Shopify product presentation
• Collection and launch concepts
Platforms include:
• Amazon
• Flipkart
• Myntra
• Meesho
• Shopify / ROBINBOSKY website
• Other marketplaces
7. Fashion & Competitor Research
• Research apparel and fashion trends
• Study Indian and international D2C brands
• Monitor competing products
• Compare colours, fits, fabrics, pricing and presentation
• Study customer reviews to understand product problems
• Identify gaps where improved products can be developed
• Present useful findings to the design and management teams
AI & MODERN DESIGN TOOLS
We strongly encourage the use of modern technology.
Candidates familiar with or interested in learning tools such as:
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• CorelDRAW
• CLO 3D
• Canva
• ChatGPT
• Gemini
• Claude
• AI image / design tools
will have an advantage.
AI tools may be used for:
• Fashion trend research
• Mood-board development
• Colour exploration
• Design ideation
• Competitor research
• Product concepts
• Presentation creation
• Documentation
• Creative experimentation
You don't need to know every tool already.
We are looking for someone who is curious, creative and willing to learn new technology quickly.
PRODUCTION EXPOSURE
Since we are directly involved in garment manufacturing, you will also gain practical exposure to:
• Fabrics
• Patterns
• Cutting
• Stitching
• Garment construction
• Measurements
• Sampling
• Quality checking
• Finishing
• Packing
• Bulk production
Understanding how a design moves from a screen or sketch into thousands of actual garments will be an important part of the internship.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Candidates currently studying or recently graduated from:
• Fashion Design
• Fashion Technology
• Apparel Design
• Costume Design
• Textile Design
• Apparel / Fashion Production
• NIFT / NID / Fashion institutes
• Relevant diploma or degree programmes
Freshers with a strong interest in apparel design are welcome.
SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

✅ Basic Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop knowledge preferred

✅ Comfortable receiving feedback and revising designs
✅ Interest in AI and modern design technology
✅ Strong willingness to learn

A portfolio is strongly preferred.
It can include:

College projects are completely acceptable for freshers.
