About Sable
Sable built Aidan, the first AI employee who can lead customer calls using realtime voice, vision, and browser use. Aidan runs a live, two-way conversation inside a real product environment, clicking through the product like a human, watching the user's screen, and adapting the journey on the fly. Every conversation feeds a self-improving context graph we call the Brain, so Aidan gets smarter with each call.
The role
This is not a traditional account executive job. Demand isn't our constraint; turning it into accounts that stay and grow is. The first two calls with a prospect are the easy part. The hard part is the third and fourth: taking a company that wants Aidan and turning that into a scoped pilot with one use case, one metric, a baseline, and a price they'll sign, then making the pilot pay off and growing the account from there.
The Engagement Lead owns that. You are the commercial owner of 6–10 accounts from the first customer call through renewal and expansion; the customer is never handed from "sales" to "account management." You'll inherit live accounts on day one plus new inbound, with a founding team member as executive sponsor on every account. A Deployment Strategist builds the agent; you build the business case, hold the relationship, and decide with the customer what gets built next and what doesn't.
We're in person. Everyone spends their first month in San Francisco with the founders and engineers, then works from San Francisco or New York.
What you'll do
- Run first calls with inbound prospects and qualify hard. Many companies want Aidan; you decide which ones we should take.
- Scope pilots: one use case, one metric, a baseline, and pre-agreed terms for what happens when the metric is met. Then negotiate and close the pilot and, later, the annual.
- Own the paper: order forms, MSA and DPA, procurement.
- During the pilot, own the executive relationship and the business case while the Deployment Strategist runs delivery. Run the week-4 readout. Convert.
- Grow the account: find the next team and the next use case, turn the deployment team's effort estimate into a price, and present it to the customer as a decision.
- Say no well: to use cases that won't produce volume, to requirements that would break the product, to asks we can't deliver. Every must-have is "live today" or "not available."
- Generate your own demand: map the executive team at target accounts, work our network and our investors' network, show up where our buyers are, and turn wins into case studies.
Who you are
- 2–3+ years somewhere with a very high bar: McKinsey, BCG, or Bain; Palantir; a top AI company; elite finance; or a company you started. Years matter less than what you did there.
- You have presented to C-level executives, been challenged by them, and held the room.
- You have scoped a project with a written deliverable and a success metric, and you were held to it.
- You have worked in or around software or AI. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to be fluent: you'll understand how Aidan is built, read call transcripts, and be credible with a GTM engineer or a RevOps lead.
- You are a relationship person. The champion texts you.
- You can operate without a playbook: scope a pilot from an under-specified brief and run the scoping conversation on your own.
- You are hungry in a way that shows. You want the responsibility that usually arrives ten years later, and you'll do the paperwork and the CRM hygiene yourself to get it.
- Bonus points for having worked inside or advised sales or marketing organizations and knowing funnel metrics cold.
