1. About Our Client:

2. About the Opportunity:
The Technical Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining smooth operational workflows within the surplus lines insurance area. This position supports administrative functions including documentation, communication, and compliance processes, directly impacting the organization’s ability to deliver accurate and timely insurance services. The role also contributes to team efficiency through onboarding support, problem resolution, and use of technology to enhance administrative accuracy and responsiveness.
3. Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license
Manage assistant and group email inboxes with timely and accurate responses
Provide phone coverage and frontline communication support
Prepare and distribute quotes, finance agreements, ACORD applications, bind requests, invoices, and state affidavits
Conduct policy checks, renewal notifications, and request loss runs
Ensure accurate and compliant documentation for surplus lines requirements
Document and maintain transparency of all transactions within AMS and other systems
Assist in surplus lines audits by verifying transactions, documentation, and compliance
Apply knowledge of insurance administrative processes and AMS operations to ensure accuracy
Identify and resolve administrative or documentation issues proactively, escalating when needed
Manage shifting priorities and deadlines independently with high accuracy
Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of new or junior administrative team members
Utilize AI-enabled tools and internal systems to improve efficiency and workflow
Support Sales teams with service and administrative tasks
Provide backup administrative support including mail handling and office coordination
Handle sensitive client and financial information with discretion and confidentiality
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
Maintain regular and timely attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
4. Requirements:
High school diploma required
2+ years of experience in the surplus lines industry OR valid P&C license plus 12+ months of CSR or administrative support experience
Experience in administration or accounting preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related systems preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional and concise
Strong problem-solving skills with a resourceful and solution-focused approach
Proficient in document management systems, email platforms, and core business applications
Dependable and accountable in task execution
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Compensation Range: $18 per hour to $23 per hour
