About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, embracing the hustle and rapid development cycles without compromising on technology quality and longevity. As a key member of our engineering leadership, you will collaborate closely with product teams and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge features. Your responsibilities will include leading the front-end development efforts for our React/Redux single-page application, making critical architectural decisions, and ensuring best practices in code quality and testing. You will also play a mentorship role, guiding less experienced engineers and participating in technical interviews to help grow our talented team. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely initially, with a future transition to a flexible, on-site presence based out of California once conditions permit. Your contributions will directly impact the scalability and success of our platform, helping us to build innovative solutions that serve a global customer base.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with React and Redux or equivalent front-end frameworks
1+ year of leadership experience in a technical role
Strong proficiency in React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs
Experience with responsive design and implementation
Prior experience working in startup environments is a plus
Excellent communication skills in English

Responsibilities
Engage with product stakeholders to review and understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Lead the development of our React/Redux single-page application, ensuring high performance and maintainability
Make informed decisions regarding application architecture, design patterns, and selection of front-end libraries
Ensure comprehensive testing of the codebase to maintain quality standards
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and suggest improvements based on industry best practices
Collaborate effectively with other engineering team members to deliver cohesive and scalable solutions
Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team
Participate in technical interviews to assist in recruiting top talent
