2. About the Opportunity:
The Sr. Sales Systems Engineer serves as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them through critical technology decisions. This role involves designing resilient, secure, and scalable data platforms that support business outcomes. The position requires bridging technical expertise with business needs to influence conversations on data resilience, cyber recovery, risk reduction, and modernization. It plays a key role in helping customers modernize data platforms across on-premises, hybrid, multi-cloud, and SaaS environments while ensuring security and governance.
3. Responsibilities:
Lead complex pre-sales engagements, including discovery, architecture design, solution positioning, and technical validation
Act as a trusted advisor by translating business objectives into secure and scalable architectures
Deliver technical demonstrations and presentations that highlight business value and risk reduction
Design and manage proofs-of-concept aligned with customer success criteria
Collaborate with customers and partners to define strategies for data resilience, ransomware recovery, compliance, and hybrid-cloud adoption
Create tailored proposals and assist in enterprise-scale RFP and RFx responses
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive positioning
Work closely with sales, product management, engineering, and partners to influence solution architecture and product direction
4. Requirements:
5+ years in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or similar technical leadership roles focused on large enterprises
Proven success managing complex sales cycles including discovery, solution design, POCs, and executive engagements
Strong technical expertise in data resilience, infrastructure platforms, virtualization, cloud services, networking, and security
Knowledge of data security, privacy, governance, and relevant regulatory compliance
Foundational understanding of AI, machine learning, and large language models, with the ability to explain the role of trusted data in AI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and senior IT leaders
Self-motivated and adaptable technologist capable of operating effectively in fast-paced enterprise settings
Bonus Skills
Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems administration and troubleshooting
Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and network security related to data protection
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, identity and access management, and Kubernetes in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Prior experience with data protection, cyber resilience, or enterprise infrastructure vendors
Relevant technical or industry certifications in cloud, security, or architecture
Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and operational tooling for resilience and recovery
Knowledge of containerized and cloud-native application platforms, SaaS data resilience, API-driven automation, cyber recovery architectures, and data governance
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
