Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the company's overall financial management, financial strategy, capital planning, risk management, and financial operations. This role provides financial support for the company's sustained growth and strategic objectives by establishing robust financial management systems, enhancing capital efficiency, supporting business decision-making, and driving long-term value creation.
As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO works closely with the CEO and other business leaders, participating in strategic planning, investment decisions, business expansion, capital allocation, and decision-making regarding major operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Financial Strategy
Formulate and execute the company's overall financial strategy and long-term financial planning.
Ensure financial strategy aligns with the company's business strategy, growth targets, and operational plans.
Establish medium- to long-term financial goals, budgeting systems, and performance indicators.
Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations for major business decisions.
2. Financial Management and Operations
Assume full responsibility for financial management, accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), treasury management, and financial operations.
Establish standardized, transparent, and efficient financial management processes.
Oversee financial reporting, management reporting, and operational analysis.
Continuously optimize financial processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
3. Budgeting and Financial Planning
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Analyze revenue, costs, profits, cash flow, and capital expenditures.
Establish mechanisms to monitor budget execution and analyze variances between actual results and the budget.
Adjust financial forecasts based on changes in market and operating environments.
4. Financial Reporting and Accounting
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management financial reports.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
Supervise accounting policies, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and financial closing processes.
Collaborate with external auditors, accounting firms, and other professional organizations.
5. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
Manage company cash flow and liquidity planning.
Formulate strategies for fund utilization and capital allocation.
Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, working capital, and cash reserves.
Ensure the company maintains sufficient funds to meet daily operational and strategic investment needs. 6. Capital and Financing Management
Oversee corporate financing strategy, capital structure, and capital allocation.
Evaluate equity financing, debt financing, bank credit facilities, and other financing options.
Manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
Provide financial assessments for major investments, M&A, asset disposals, and strategic partnerships.
7. Risk Management and Internal Control
Establish a corporate financial risk management framework.
Identify and monitor market, liquidity, credit, operational, and financial risks.
Develop and refine internal control systems.
Ensure financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
8. Strategic Decision Support
Provide financial analysis and business insights to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management team.
Conduct financial evaluations for market entry, new product development, business expansion, and major projects.
Analyze business profitability, return on investment (ROI), and capital efficiency.
Support strategic decision-making through data analysis.
9. M&A and Corporate Development
Participate in M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, and asset restructuring projects.
Lead financial due diligence and financial modeling for target companies.
Assess the financial impact, risks, and investment returns of potential transactions.
Support deal negotiations, valuation analysis, and post-merger integration.
10. Financial Team Leadership
Lead teams across finance, accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, and related functions.
Build an efficient financial organizational structure and talent development system.
Cultivate financial management talent and a senior financial leadership team.
Drive the transformation of the finance team into strategic business partners.
11. Board and Investor Communication
Report the company's financial status and operational performance to the Board and senior management.
Prepare financial reports, operational analyses, and strategic financial materials for the Board.
Participate in investor relations, financing activities, and capital market communications as appropriate.
Provide clear and accurate financial and operational information.
12. Financial Digitalization and Efficiency Enhancement
Drive the implementation of ERP systems, financial analysis platforms, data infrastructure, and automation tools.
Leverage data analytics and digital technologies to enhance financial management efficiency.
Promote the automation of financial processes and the standardization of data.
Establish systems for real-time monitoring of financial and operational performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
Extensive experience in financial management, corporate finance, or senior financial leadership.
Experience in budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, capital management, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with corporate accounting standards, financial regulatory requirements, and internal control systems.
Proficiency in financial modeling, business analysis, and strategic decision support.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to engage in high-level communication with the CEO, Board of Directors, investors, banks, and external professional institutions.
Strong business acumen, risk awareness, and strategic thinking capabilities.
CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
