White Tree Solutions is seeking a Policy and Compliance Governance Specialist to help clients translate AI risks, organizational requirements, and responsible AI principles into practical policies and operating procedures.
You will work with executive sponsors, legal counsel, security teams, and technical specialists to establish clear expectations for how AI is evaluated, approved, used, and monitored.
Responsibilities
Assess existing policies and controls to identify gaps affecting enterprise AI adoption.
Develop AI acceptable-use policies, governance frameworks, standards, and supporting procedures.
Define AI use-case intake, risk classification, review, approval, and exception processes.
Document requirements for data handling, human oversight, accountability, and third-party AI use.
Work with legal and compliance stakeholders to map applicable obligations to governance controls and supporting evidence.
Establish governance roles, decision rights, escalation paths, and review cycles.
Facilitate policy reviews and prepare recommendations for leadership approval.
Qualifications
Experience developing technology, data, privacy, security, or compliance policies for enterprise organizations.
Ability to turn complex requirements into clear, usable policies and procedures.
Understanding of generative AI risks and responsible AI practices.
Experience facilitating decisions across legal, security, business, and technical stakeholders.
Strong writing, analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Experience
AI governance or technology risk engagements.
Familiarity with frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework or ISO/IEC 42001.
Work in public-sector or regulated environments.
Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise data and AI platforms.
Expected Deliverables
An AI governance framework, policy and standards package, risk review process, and documented ownership and oversight procedures.
Citizenship and Work Location Requirements
Candidates must be U.S. citizens. This role supports a government engagement that prohibits offshoring. All work, including access to client systems and data, must be performed within the United States throughout the engagement. Offshore delivery and subcontracting are not permitted.
