Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of SKS Advisory, LLC. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning to support the firm’s growth and client-facing initiatives. The CFO will manage financial reporting, including preparation, review, and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements to leadership and stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, overseeing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and developing internal controls and financial policies. The CFO will collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team on pricing strategies, resource allocation, performance analytics, and risk management, while providing clear financial insights that inform strategic decisions. This role also supports vendor management, contract reviews, and financial aspects of partnerships and client engagements.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
Expertise in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
Experience establishing and maintaining robust financial controls, compliance practices, and risk management frameworks.
Proven leadership experience overseeing finance functions in consulting, healthcare, or professional services environments.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is a plus.
Experience supporting growth-stage or entrepreneurial organizations, with a focus on scalable processes and operational efficiency.
