Role Description The Human Resources Payroll Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing payroll operations and core HR functions for client organizations. Day-to-day tasks include processing payroll accurately and on schedule, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and labor regulations. The role involves administering employee benefits, addressing payroll and benefits inquiries, and supporting employee relations with clear communication and documentation. You will help develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, support onboarding and offboarding processes, and coordinate with clients on HR and payroll reporting. The position requires proactive communication with clients, managing deadlines across multiple engagements, and recommending improvements to HR and payroll systems.
Qualifications
Strong Human Resources (HR) foundation with the ability to support general HR operations and compliance.
Demonstrated HR Management experience, including organizing HR processes and advising on HR best practices.
Knowledge of Employee Benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and resolving benefit-related questions.
Experience in Employee Relations, including handling routine employee inquiries and supporting positive workplace practices.
Ability to develop, implement, and interpret HR Policies in alignment with applicable laws and client needs.
Proven payroll management experience, including familiarity with payroll software, tax withholdings, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Experience working with small businesses or multiple clients is beneficial; professional HR or payroll certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP) is a plus.
