Role Description The Physical Education Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and standards. Responsibilities include organizing sports activities and drills, coaching students for inter-house and inter-school competitions, and promoting fitness, safety, and sportsmanship. The teacher will monitor student progress, maintain records, and collaborate with other staff members to integrate physical wellness into the broader educational program. Duties also involve supervising playground and sports areas, managing equipment, and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Physical Education principles and practices, including fitness, motor skills, and sports rules.
Experience in Sports Coaching, training students in team and individual sports, and preparing them for competitions.
Ability to contribute to Curriculum Development in physical education and align activities with educational objectives.
Background in Education and Teaching, with skill in classroom management, student engagement, and assessment.
Relevant degree or diploma in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues, and families.
Commitment to student safety, inclusive practices, and promoting lifelong healthy habits.
Prior experience in a school setting and familiarity with CBSE or similar curricula is an advantage.
