Role Description The Sales Manager – Gold Loans will be responsible for driving gold loan business in the Tiruchirappalli branch through on-site customer engagement and field activities. This full-time role includes managing and growing a portfolio of gold loan customers, building relationships with local communities, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications and disbursements. The Sales Manager will oversee sales targets, monitor branch performance, and guide team members in lead generation, cross-selling, and customer retention. Daily tasks involve coordinating with operations teams, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory norms, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The role also includes market analysis, competition tracking, and participation in local promotional initiatives to enhance the visibility and reach of gold loan offerings.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, with experience in retail lending or gold loans preferred.
Customer relationship management and communication skills to engage diverse communities and build long-term trust.
Knowledge of basic banking processes, credit assessment, and regulatory compliance relevant to lending products.
Ability to analyze local market trends, identify opportunities, and implement branch-level sales strategies.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools used for loan processing, reporting, and customer data management.
Graduate degree in any discipline; a background in finance, business, or commerce is an advantage.
Prior experience in microfinance, NBFCs, or banking in rural or semi-urban markets is beneficial.
Comfort working on-site in Tiruchirappalli with willingness for local travel as required.
