Role Description The Specialist Programmer will work full time on-site at Criclive.in’s office in Janakpuri, contributing to the development and maintenance of high-performance, scalable web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing back-end services, optimizing server-side code for speed and reliability, and integrating data from various APIs to support live commentary and user interactions. The role involves collaborating with product and content teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues in real time during live matches. The Specialist Programmer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve development processes and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Demonstrated experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development for high-traffic, data-driven applications.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js).
Familiarity with web frameworks, RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and version control tools such as Git.
Ability to write clean, testable, and well-documented code, with experience in unit testing and debugging.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in cricket and live sports platforms is highly beneficial, as is prior experience in real-time or streaming applications.
