Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team as a specialist in gold asset evaluation for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold appraisal techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to accurately assess the value of gold items submitted as collateral. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in mitigating risk and ensuring the bank's lending decisions are backed by precise and reliable asset valuations, contributing to the overall financial health and customer trust in our gold loan services.
Responsibilities:-
Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
Evaluate the market value of gold assets using standardized appraisal methods and current market rates to determine loan eligibility and amount.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.
Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning and audit requirements.
Collaborate with the credit and risk management teams to provide accurate asset valuations that inform lending decisions and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan processing.
Manage and maintain the security and proper handling of gold items during the appraisal process to prevent loss or damage.
Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques, quality standards, and operational procedures.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections to validate appraisal accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
Utilize digital tools and software for appraisal documentation and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
