Role Description The Senior Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for planning and executing land and infrastructure surveys for water, wastewater, and related utility projects, ensuring accurate measurements and data collection. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field surveys using modern surveying instruments, preparing topographic maps and layouts, verifying alignments and levels for pipelines and structures, and maintaining detailed records of survey data. The Senior Surveyor collaborates closely with project engineers, site managers, and contractors to validate design requirements, resolve on-site surveying issues, and support construction quality control. Additional responsibilities include supervising junior surveyors, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of surveying methods and workflows.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong land and infrastructure surveying skills, including experience with topographic, route, and construction surveys.
Candidates should possess proficiency in surveying instruments and software, such as total stations, GPS/RTK systems, auto levels, and basic CAD tools.
Candidates should possess skills in data collection, analysis, and preparation of survey reports, drawings, and documentation.
Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant standards, site safety practices, and basic civil engineering concepts related to water and wastewater projects.
Candidates should possess effective communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field, with several years of experience in utility or infrastructure projects at a senior or lead level.
Experience in water, wastewater, or public utility projects, and familiarity with ESG-focused or sustainability-oriented infrastructure, is highly beneficial.
