Role Description The Assistant Manager Purchase role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor identification, negotiation, and finalization for raw materials, components, and services. The Assistant Manager Purchase will track purchase orders, ensure timely deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted operations. The role includes analyzing price trends, optimizing procurement costs, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The person in this position will prepare purchase reports, support audit requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement in the purchasing function.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor management, negotiation, and purchase order handling.
Experience in inventory control, materials management, and coordination with production and logistics teams.
Competence in data analysis, cost optimization, and use of ERP or procurement software tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes in consumer durables, electronics, or related engineering sectors.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
Proven experience in a purchasing or sourcing role, preferably within a manufacturing or OEM environment.
Ability to work with attention to detail, adhere to timelines, and follow compliance and quality standards.
