Role Description The Insurance Surveyor and Loss Assessor will conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and analyze policy coverage to determine the extent of loss. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting incident locations, gathering evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and preparing detailed technical reports for insurance claim processing. The role involves coordinating with insurers, brokers, and policyholders, reviewing documents such as policies, invoices, and repair estimates, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards. The position requires maintaining accurate records, meeting reporting deadlines, and providing clear, unbiased recommendations on claim settlements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess damage, interpret policies, and quantify losses.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing, client interactions, and documentation.
Ability to conduct field inspections, gather evidence, and work methodically in diverse on-site conditions.
Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases, records, and deadlines.
Basic knowledge of insurance principles, claim processes, and relevant regulatory guidelines; prior experience in insurance, risk management, engineering, or finance is an advantage.
Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and comfort with digital documentation tools.
Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in engineering, commerce, finance, law, or a related field; professional certifications in insurance or surveying are preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high ethical standards and a client-focused approach.
