Role Description The VP of Project Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing project delivery across multiple commercial construction initiatives. This position leads project operations from pre-construction planning through closeout, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. The role includes directing project management teams, coordinating resources, monitoring P&L performance for assigned projects, and refining operational processes to support lean, efficient execution. The VP of Project Operations collaborates with clients to set expectations, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships, while also partnering with senior leadership on strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management and Project Management for commercial construction projects.
Proficiency in P&L Management, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance tracking.
Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and address project concerns effectively.
Experience in Strategic Planning, including setting operational goals, defining process improvements, and supporting long-term business objectives.
Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a remote or distributed work environment.
Knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling tools, and safety and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
