Role Description The VP of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple commercial construction projects. This role leads project management teams, sets standards for project planning, and ensures schedules, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met. The VP collaborates with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to define project scope, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project performance, optimizing processes, supporting program-level decisions, and providing guidance on resource allocation and contract compliance. The VP of Project Management also contributes to strategic planning, drives continuous improvement in project methodologies, and supports business development efforts through project insights and client communication.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Project Planning skills to lead complex commercial construction initiatives from concept through completion.
Candidates should possess solid Program Management capabilities to oversee multiple projects or portfolios and align them with organizational objectives.
Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that improve performance and reduce risk.
Candidates should possess demonstrated Budgeting experience to develop, manage, and monitor project financials, ensuring cost control and profitability.
Relevant qualifications include experience in commercial construction or design-build environments, leading cross-functional project teams, and working with subcontractors and vendors.
Additional beneficial qualifications include excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, proficiency with project management software, and a track record of driving process improvements.
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; advanced certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
