About the Opportunity
The VP of Operations oversees the company-wide operating system that translates strategy into coordinated execution. Operating as a hands-on builder, this leader connects priorities, investments, resources, and performance across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and People. Partnering closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership, the role establishes alignment, drives commitments, and builds operational consistency across the organization to support disciplined growth.
This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the organizational operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, company planning sessions, business reviews, and company off-sites.
Translate strategy into a clear portfolio of priorities, decisions, owners, and milestones while tracking actions through completion.
Map functional dependencies, identify conflicts early, and assist leadership in evaluating explicit trade-offs regarding investments in time, talent, and capital.
Build and oversee an intake and prioritization framework for organizational and cross-functional initiatives.
Partner with Finance to establish business cases, funding decisions, performance benchmarks, and stop-or-scale criteria for strategic investments.
Collaborate with People and HR leadership on organizational design, headcount forecasting, contractor allocation, and capability planning.
Maintain visibility into demand, capacity, costs, and resource allocation across the organization.
Evaluate and optimize business systems, data, workflows, and operational infrastructure across departments to automate recurring tasks and retire redundant tools.
Own the company OKR process, maintaining data hygiene, definitions, ownership, and review cadences for organizational scorecards and dashboards.
Analyze operational and financial data to uncover trends, challenge operational assumptions, and drive cross-functional programs requiring dedicated leadership.
Required Qualifications
10 or more years of experience in business operations, strategy and operations, or a chief of staff role.
Demonstrated experience partnering directly with executive leadership at a high-growth technology company.
Proven experience designing and implementing company operating cadences, strategic planning frameworks, OKR systems, and cross-functional execution processes.
Comprehensive understanding of technology business operations, including budgeting, financial forecasting, headcount planning, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
Experience assessing and optimizing cross-departmental business systems, including CRM, business intelligence, planning, and collaboration tools.
Track record of managing cross-functional delivery across Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and People or HR functions, including managing competing demands and resource capacities.
Direct experience managing an operating budget and vendor portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical capabilities with experience translating financial and operational data into actionable executive recommendations.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional peers without direct authority, manage confidential information, and navigate shifting business priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Experience operating within a venture-backed startup environment.
Domain familiarity with the software-as-a-service (SaaS), identity, or cybersecurity industries.
