Role Description The I&C Engineer role at IEPCC Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The I&C Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for EPCC projects in the petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine sectors. Daily tasks include developing control system architectures, preparing technical documentation, performing system configuration and calibration, and supporting commissioning and startup activities. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and HSE requirements, and providing technical support during project execution and troubleshooting. The I&C Engineer will also participate in vendor coordination, review engineering deliverables, and contribute to continuous improvement of control and instrumentation practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Control Engineering and Process Control, with practical experience in industrial automation and control applications.
Proficiency in Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation, including selection, specification, and integration of field instruments and electrical components.
Experience in Control Systems Design, including PLC/DCS configuration, SCADA/HMI development, and control loop tuning.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for oil and gas, marine, and related process industries, including safety and HSE requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control narratives, and other engineering documents.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with vendors and contractors.
Hands-on experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems is highly beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.
