ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring on behalf of a well-established FMCG manufacturing group in the UAE. The Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager will own the company's accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, integrity and full compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements, while strengthening internal controls and financial governance.
JOB LOCATION: Sharjah hamryia freezone.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee end-to-end accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and inventory accounting.
Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing within agreed reporting timelines.
Review journal entries, reconciliations and financial schedules to protect data integrity.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
Manage inventory accounting across raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods and wastage.
Monitor standard costing, cost allocations and production variances.
Analyse COGS, yield and efficiency reports to support operational performance.
Partner with production and supply chain teams on accurate costing and reporting.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Analysis
Support annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Track actual performance against budget and deliver variance analysis with actionable insight.
Support pricing, margin analysis and profitability reviews.
Compliance, Controls & Audit
Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT law and statutory reporting requirements.
Build and maintain accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
Manage internal and external audits and close audit observations on time.
Oversee VAT filings and regulatory submissions within legal deadlines.
Cash Flow & Working Capital
Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and inventory levels.
Drive initiatives that optimise working capital and cash efficiency.
Coordinate with banks and finance partners as required.
Systems & Process
Oversee finance modules within ERP systems (SAP / Oracle or equivalent).
Drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement in accounting and reporting.
Leadership & Stakeholders
Lead, mentor and develop the accounting and reporting team; set objectives and monitor KPIs.
Provide accurate, timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Support capital expenditure analysis and business expansion projects.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
8-12 years of relevant accounting experience, including 3-5 years in manufacturing or FMCG.
Food manufacturing experience highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of IFRS, VAT and manufacturing cost accounting.
Hands-on ERP experience (SAP / Oracle or equivalent).
