Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a University Student – Youth Basketball Statistics & Sports Data Analyst Intern to join our team and help us build the data foundation behind the next generation of basketball technology.
This is a great opportunity for a student interested in basketball, sports analytics, data, technology, artificial intelligence, computer science, statistics, kinesiology, or sports management.

Able to follow a standardized process consistently
Previous basketball statistics experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided.
What You'll Do
Watch recorded basketball games and analyze game activity
Collect and record player and team statistics, including points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, and other agreed-upon data
Review statistics for accuracy and identify inconsistencies or errors
Use HoopSwitch-approved software and digital tools to organize and manage basketball data
Help build structured datasets that can support future sports analytics and AI applications
Provide feedback on our statistics software and help identify opportunities to improve the data-collection process
Work with the HoopSwitch team through virtual meetings, training, and regular check-ins

Compensation
$20–$25/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
