Director of Operations & Member Experience
Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK)
Rate: £25 per hour
Employment Type: Part-time initially, with progression towards a full-time role as the organisation grows.
Travel: Local, national and occasional international travel opportunities.

We are seeking an ambitious, energetic and highly capable Director of Operations & Member Experience to become a key leader within the organisation and help guide our continued development and growth.
The Role
This is not a traditional operations role.
While the position includes responsibility for overseeing operational functions, systems and service standards, it is first and foremost a people-focused leadership position.
The successful candidate will become one of the most visible representatives of Meridian, working closely with members, prospective members, partners, venues, suppliers and Relationship Curators.
This role combines leadership, relationship management, operations, networking, events and member experience.
You will play a central role in ensuring that Meridian members receive an exceptional experience whilst also helping to shape the future growth and direction of the organisation.
As Meridian expands nationally and internationally, the role will evolve into a senior leadership position with responsibility for multiple teams, regions and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Oversight
Oversee operational activities across the organisation
Support and coordinate Relationship Curators
Work alongside administration, document control and event teams
Monitor service delivery standards
Help develop systems, procedures and operational processes
Ensure operational excellence across the organisation
Member Experience
Take ownership of the overall member experience
Build relationships with members and prospective members
Support onboarding activities
Monitor engagement and satisfaction levels
Resolve issues and coordinate support where required
Networking & Relationship Building
Meet members and prospective members
Build and maintain high-quality professional relationships
Attend networking functions and business events
Support introductions and relationship development
Act as a key ambassador for Meridian
Events & Representation
Attend business, hospitality and networking events
Liaise with Event Coordinators and venues
Support member events and special experiences
Participate in meetings, interviews and panel discussions
Deliver presentations and talks where appropriate
Strategic Development
Contribute to future growth initiatives
Assist with regional expansion activities
Support the development of new services and member benefits
Help shape the long-term direction of the organisation
Travel Requirements
This is primarily a remote-based role.
Most activities will be carried out remotely and within your local area through meetings, networking events, business functions and member engagement activities.
You will be expected to:
Attend meetings with members and prospective members
Attend local networking and business events
Participate in weekly online meetings
Attend monthly in-person meetings, events and planning sessions
As Meridian develops, opportunities may arise to attend:
National events
Industry conferences
Member experiences
International events
International travel is not a requirement of the role but may become available as the organisation grows.
