Skergo is India's first ergonomic backpack brand, on a mission to redefine everyday comfort through innovative design and functionality.
We're building a premium, sporty consumer brand and looking for a Social Media & Content Lead to build our organic content engine, grow our community and shape how Skergo shows up online.
About the Role
Own Skergo's organic content and social growth strategy — build a distinctive content engine that makes the brand culturally relevant, increases organic reach and grows an engaged community.
Lead creators, UGC and influencer collaborations — identify emerging formats, creators, product-seeding opportunities and partnerships that generate engaging content and strengthen brand awareness.
Be an entrepreneurial 1→10 operator — work closely with the founder and creative team, spot trends, move fast and build Skergo's social media and content function from the ground up.
What You'll Own
Organic Social Strategy: Own the content direction and calendar across Instagram and other relevant social platforms, with a focus on reach, engagement, brand relevance and organic growth.
Content Strategy: Develop repeatable content formats and pillars across product storytelling, lifestyle, movement, education, culture, launches and community.
Creators, UGC & Influencers: Identify and manage creator collaborations, product seeding, UGC partnerships and influencer relationships from outreach through execution.
Trend & Culture: Stay close to emerging formats, creators, cultural conversations and social behaviour, and identify what Skergo should participate in versus ignore.
Creative Execution: Work closely with the video editor, designer and external creators to brief and produce high-quality social-first content consistently.
Launches & Campaigns: Build organic content plans around new product launches, campaigns and key brand moments.
Community: Help build an active brand community through conversations, collaborations, comments, creators and customer participation.
What We're Looking For
3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a D2C, consumer, fashion, sports or lifestyle brand.
Proven experience growing social media accounts organically, with a strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, short-form content and influencer marketing.
Excellent creative taste and cultural awareness, with the ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into engaging, contemporary brand content.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset — someone who takes ownership, works independently and thrives in a fast-growing startup.
