Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement, primarily based in Ranchi with some flexibility for work from home as project needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, space plans, and mood boards; selecting finishes, fixtures, and furnishings; and preparing detailed drawings and presentations for client review. The role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, reviewing construction progress, and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout execution. The Interior Designer will participate in site visits, measurements, and inspections, manage project timelines and documentation, and support budget tracking and procurement activities. The position requires regular communication with clients to gather requirements, present design options, and incorporate feedback into refined solutions.
Qualifications
Strong Interior Design skills, including concept development, color and material selection, and FF&E specification.
Ability in Space Planning to create functional layouts that consider circulation, ergonomics, and user experience.
Understanding of Architecture principles and building systems to coordinate design with structural and MEP requirements.
Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and technical documentation for use by contractors and vendors.
Experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).
Strong visual communication, detailing, and material research skills, with a keen eye for quality and aesthetics.
Effective project management abilities, including time management, organization, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; relevant professional experience in interior projects is preferred.
