Role Description:
The Climate Intelligence Associate is an unpaid internship role for 6 months, fully remote, with certificates, letters of recommendation, and the possibility of university or school credits upon successful completion. Daily responsibilities include collecting and analyzing climate and agricultural data, supporting the development of climate risk assessments, and assisting in the creation of data-driven insights for farmers and stakeholders. The intern will help prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate complex climate information into practical recommendations for sustainable farming practices. Additional tasks may include conducting literature reviews on climate-smart agriculture, collaborating with product and research teams, and contributing to pilot projects that integrate climate intelligence into AgroNest’s solutions. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in climate analytics, sustainable agriculture, and impact-focused innovation.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to collect, interpret, and synthesize climate and agricultural data.
Familiarity with sustainability concepts, climate change impacts on agriculture, and climate-smart or regenerative farming practices.
Basic proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; exposure to GIS, Python, R, or data visualization tools is an advantage).
Clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and stakeholder-facing materials.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional team.
Current student or recent graduate in environmental science, agriculture, climate studies, data science, geography, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Demonstrated interest in agri-tech, sustainability, and using technology for social and environmental impact.
Attention to detail, curiosity to learn, and openness to feedback and mentorship throughout the internship period.
