Devops Engineer

CloudGate LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and maintain reliable cloud infrastructure. You’ll work closely with development teams to streamline software delivery, improve system performance, and strengthen security across development and production environments.
Success in this role means dependable deployments, actionable monitoring, and infrastructure that supports the team as its needs grow.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application testing and deployment.
Manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and version-controlled configurations.
Support containerized applications and orchestration environments.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to identify and resolve issues.
Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, networking, and performance problems.
Improve security through access controls, secrets management, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
Maintain backup and recovery processes, operational documentation, and runbooks.
Collaborate with developers to improve reliability, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency.
Required qualifications
Hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems engineering.
Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or a similar language.
Working knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud-native monitoring services.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and production incident response.
Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
