SAT Math Tutor

Role Description: The SAT Math Tutor is a full-time, remote role responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction in SAT Math to high school students. Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting interactive tutoring sessions, explaining core math concepts, and guiding learners through problem-solving strategies aligned with the SAT format. The tutor will design practice exercises, review full-length mock tests, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve accuracy, speed, and confidence. Additional responsibilities include monitoring student progress, maintaining clear communication with learners and families, and collaborating with the Tutela team to refine teaching materials and approaches.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Mathematics, with a solid command of SAT-level topics including Algebra and related problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring, preferably with high school students preparing for standardized tests.
Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching style to different learning needs.
Familiarity with SAT exam structure, scoring, and test-taking strategies, with prior experience preparing students for standardized math assessments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent demonstrable expertise).
Comfort using online teaching platforms, digital whiteboards, and other educational technology tools.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple students and schedules in a remote setting.
