Role Description
This is a full-time remote Software Engineer role with flexible working hours. You will handle full-stack web development (back-end and front-end), some mobile app work in React Native, and AI research and integration. You will design, develop, test, and ship software that meets the firm's needs.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in software engineering
Computer Science and software development skills
Full-stack web development experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and requirement gathering skills in English
Able to work on your own and as part of a remote team
Experience with agile development
Able to move fast and know when to ship an MVP, with few or no bugs
Experience with AWS
Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex
Nice to have: startup experience and familiarity with finance and investment terms
Tech Stack (you don't need all of these to apply. You can learn them on the job.)
Ruby on Rails
Node.js with TypeScript
Go
React (class and function components) with Redux Toolkit
LESS
React Native
PostgreSQL
Prompt engineering and AI integration (OpenAI, etc.)
Nice to have: PHP WordPress with MariaDB (rarely used)

Application Process
We screen your CV or LinkedIn profile.
If you are shortlisted, you take an online coding test: 2 algorithm questions in 1 hour, in any programming language you like.
If you pass, you move on to a technical test.
The final interview is with our Partner and Managing Partner (CEO). This can take a while to schedule because their calendars are busy.
We send the contract or offer letter.
