Role Description This is a full-time Sales Application Engineer role based in Ahmedabad, structured as a hybrid position with some flexibility for work from home. The Sales Application Engineer will engage with customers to understand their machining requirements and recommend suitable cutting tool solutions, including customized options. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical proposals, supporting the sales team with application know-how, and conducting product demonstrations or trials at customer sites. The role involves providing technical support for tooling performance issues, coordinating with design and manufacturing teams, and assisting in cost-benefit analyses to highlight value and productivity gains. The Sales Application Engineer will also maintain key customer relationships, contribute to sales forecasts, and support the implementation of new tooling technologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills for customer engagement, solution selling, and revenue growth.
Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills to understand tooling applications, machine operations, and process optimization.
Candidates should possess Technical Support skills to diagnose application issues, recommend corrective actions, and provide ongoing customer assistance.
Relevant experience in cutting tools, machining, or manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across sales and engineering teams.
Ability to travel to customer locations as needed within the region and manage priorities in a hybrid work setup.
