Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based at Adore the family store in Guwahati. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop clothing designs aligned with the store’s family-oriented brand, including styles for different age groups and occasions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating sketches, selecting fabrics and trims, coordinating textile patterns, and working closely with the production team to ensure accurate fitting and finishing. The role involves supervising embroidery and detailing work, collaborating with store management to plan seasonal collections, and incorporating customer feedback into design decisions. The Fashion Designer will also support visual merchandising by advising on outfit styling and presentation in the store.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with the ability to create cohesive collections for diverse age groups.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Textiles and Embroidery to select appropriate fabrics, finishes, and decorative techniques.
Candidates should possess practical expertise in Fitting to ensure garments meet comfort, quality, and size standards.
Candidates should possess proficiency in sketching, pattern-making, and basic garment construction; experience with design software is an advantage.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales and production teams.
Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred; prior experience in retail fashion or family apparel is beneficial.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced store environment.
