Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vishakhapatnam, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. This role includes conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions in line with relevant regulations and company policies. The Safety Officer will develop and deliver safety training programs, maintain safety documentation and reports, and support accident and incident investigations. Daily tasks also include coordinating with operations and management teams to ensure adherence to health, safety, and security procedures, and recommending improvements to safety standards and emergency response plans.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
Candidates should possess Security-related skills, with the ability to coordinate workplace security measures and risk assessments.
Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, including the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training sessions for diverse teams.
Relevant certifications or diplomas in occupational health and safety, industrial safety, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment is beneficial.
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Proficiency in using standard office software and basic safety management tools.
